Step 1 of 5
You're not alone in this
Wanting to stop is the hard part, and you've already started. Turn on the rule below, then bring a partner in: accountability is what makes it stick. If you're struggling right now, the assistant or jason@leadmenot.org is here, no judgement.

Step 2 of 5
Turn on Adult Websites
Click the LeadMeNot icon in Chrome and switch on Block for Adult Websites, our built-in list of explicit sites and search terms. Switch on Monitor too, so your partner is alerted.

chrome://extensions
Step 3 of 5
Close the gap: Incognito
Open chrome://extensions, click Details under LeadMeNot and switch on Allow in Incognito, so private windows are covered too.
The extension only protects Chrome. If you use other browsers on this computer, remove them or protect them another way.

Step 4 of 5
Lock it with your Safe Wall
Under You › Safe Wall, choose Partner approval, so turning the rule off needs your partner's OK.

Step 5 of 5
Test it: type leadmenottest
Open Chrome, type leadmenottest into the address bar and go. If LeadMeNot blocks the page, everything is working.
Not blocked? Check the extension is switched on at chrome://extensions, you're signed in, and Adult blocking is on. For Incognito, Allow in Incognito must be on too.
The test only works while blocking is on, for example with Adult Websites & Apps switched on.
Did this work?
That's a real step.
Your protection is set. If you've added a partner, they've got your back, so you're never doing this alone. Here's what people usually do next:
Sorry about that. Email Jason and we'll include which guide and step you were on, or ask our assistant.
